Search resources for locating
people |
Since 1995.
This site was created to help people find people. I started
this site during my successful adoption search. You can use these
resources for finding people, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail
and other such stuff. Please tell me about any other items you
think belong on this site. |

Net
Detective is a "do it yourself detective" program
that has compiled information similar to my site, but on a much
larger and easier-to-use scale. For more information on how Net
Detective can help you, see my Software
page. |

- Phone Books
- Phone book resources online help to find phone numbers,
addresses, or names when you have one or two of the pieces of
information beforehand.
- E-mail
- E-mail resources include finding an e-mail address
by name, finding a name by e-mail address and potentially finding
the city of the e-mail address.
- Postal
- Is that address you are using correct? It's nice
to know that you are sending that "first contact" letter
to the right place.
- Professionals
- Professionals can help you when nothing else works.
They pay for access to the databases we can't get to. When you
reach a dead end, they can be your best bet.
- School
Alumni
- Do you know where the person you are looking for
went to school? If so, you may find them in an alumni directory.
- Amateurs
- Don't let the title fool you. These sites know what
they are doing and can help you with additional advice.
- Military
- Sites to use to find your army buddy or to learn
more about him/her.
- Prisons
- Hopefully the person you are looking for is not in
here.
- Genealogy
- These sites are used to track roots and find that
possible connection. You can also look up dead people if you
have their Social Security Number.
- Vital
Records
- Birth, death, marriage, divorce. It's all here for
you to find. It will take some footwork through.
- Adoption
- These sites will help the adoptee in his/her search.
- Registries
- Place your name on one and hope it pans out? I am
not a real believer in these because they don't share their information.
- Software
- Programs designed to make your search easier.
